UN Sustainable Development Goals

“Principles into Practise”

Our consulting services and outreach strive to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the firm undertakes to fulfil the recommended five steps to align our operations with them. As such MOIR endeavours to: 

  • Assess the impact of our operations against the goals, and identify related risks and opportunities across our entire value chain;

  • Engage with Executive Management to set goals and targets specific the the company;

  • Inform shareholders and other stakeholders of the targets set and the progress made;

  • Engage consultants and connected third parties in advancing the goals through their own work; and

  • Show our commitment by including SDG icons and branding in our communications and reporting.

Specific to our practise areas, MOIR aligns itself particularly with SDG 16: Peace, Justice and strong institutions. We acknowledge the importance of the 2030 agenda and our mission is to help governments and multinational organisations work toward transforming “public policies for common good”. 

UN Global Compact

MOIR joins international business leaders in their renewed commitment to global cooperation and similarly adopts their statement for the same, recognising that peace, justice and strong institutions are foundational to upholding the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and achieving the SDGs.

The firm commits to:

  • Demonstrate ethical leadership and good governance through value-based strategies, policies, operations and relationships when engaging with all stakeholders.

  • Invest in addressing systemic inequalities and injustices through inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels of our business.

  • Partner with the UN, Government and Civil Society to strengthen access to justice, ensure accountability and transparency, provide legal certainty, promote equality and respect human rights.

In making that commitment, MOIR also expects of its partners to:

  • protect human rights, ensure peace and security, and uphold the rule of law so that businesses, individuals and societies can flourish.

  • Create an enabling environment to serve the interests of people and planet, prosperity and purpose, through strengthened international cooperation and national legal frameworks.

  • Enhance multilateralism and global governance to combat corruption, build resilience and achieve the SDGs.

Women’s Empowerment Principles
